Certified Journeyman Lineman Position Certified Journeyman Lineman Position

The City of Bushnell is currently accepting applications for the position of Certified Journeyman Lineman. Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Ability and experience in performing skilled journeyman work in the construction, maintenance and repair of overhead and underground electrical distribution lines in accordance with standards of the trade. Physical strength and agility to climb poles and perform heavy manual work under inclement weather conditions. Knowledge of the tools, materials and methods used in line construction and maintenance work. Knowledge of theory and applications of theory regarding electrical circuits and wiring systems. Knowledge of the hazards of the trade and necessary safety precautions. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Skill in the use and care of line tools and the testing of equipment is required. High School diploma or GED, Journeyman Lineman Certification and a minimum of three (3) years experience in the new electric line construction. Class B commercial driver’s license. Ability to operate heavy equipment desirable. This position also provides support to Waterand Wastewater Utilities including light construction, meter reading, and repairs. Lift Station Maintenance Mechanic Lift Station Maintenance Mechanic

The City of Bushnell is currently accepting applications for the position of Lift Station Maintenance Mechanic for the wastewater department. Salary range of $16.66 to $27.50 per hour, based on experience and includes an excellent benefits package.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Ability to troubleshoot and repair 3 phase electrical service and controls, maintain pumps, blowers, valves, meters, control systems, piping, and other equipment related to water/wastewater plant and distribution/collection systems. Must be willing to work on-call rotation and able to respond to trouble calls within 40 minutes of initial notification. A high school diploma or GED required, with a DEP collection system certification or other water/wastewater certification preferred, or the ability to become DEP certified within 2 years. Applicants must possess a valid Florida Class A or B CDL driver’s license or become certified in three months.
