The Finances of the City of Bushnell are managed by the Finance Director Jody Young. The Finance Department provides financial management, leadership, oversight, reporting, and additional financial services for the City's organization.   The department collects and records revenues and expenditures; coordinates and monitors the City's operating and capital budgets; monitors the activity of the cash, investments, retirement plans, and other restricted accounts; as well as records and monitors all fixed assets. The accounting of the City of Bushnell undergoes an annual financial audit conducted by a third party accounting firm to ensure appropriate and proper financial internal controls and procedures.

The Governmental Finance Officer's Association (GFOA) has awarded the City the 2014 national award which recognizes excellence in financial reporting to state and local governments who have met their application criteria.
