This $650,000 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) will be utilized for providing municipal wastewater connections to eligible low-income residents in designated areas within the City.

The CDBG Grant proceeds will pay for the infrastructure necessary to provide Municipal Wastewater services to those residences.  For those residents who are income eligible, the Grant proceeds will pay the homeowner's physical connection from their home to the Municipal Wastewater mains and infrastructure.  Typically, this cost is the responsibility of the property owner.

Sewer expansion projects are created when Grant proceeds are awarded, alleviating the cost of the system construction just to the citizens of Bushnell.  When Grants are awarded, projects are planned based on the type of Grant awarded, the criteria of the Grant awardment, and the amount of the Grant dollars.
